Un trabajo (\u201cA classification theorem for compact Cauchy horizons in vacuum spacetimes\u201d) <\/em>de los docentes e investigadores universitarios Ignacio Bustamente y Mart\u00edn Reiris del centro de Matem\u00e1tica de la Facultad de Ciencias \u201c<\/em>fue seleccionado entre los m\u00e1s importantes de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en su \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n, la relatividad general geom\u00e9trica\u201d, <\/em>seg\u00fan consigna el portal de la UdelaR. El trabajo se public\u00f3 en General Relativity and Gravitation\u00a053, 36 (2021) y fue distinguido con el Frontiers of Science Award, premio otorgado por el International Congress of Basic Science (ICBS) La selecci\u00f3n se dio en China, en el marco de un congreso organizado por el gobierno de la ciudad de Beijing. \u00a0La UdelaR explica que \u201cel campo de trabajo de ambos docentes ha sido objeto de innumerables obras de ficci\u00f3n que alimentan nuestras ideas sobre el universo\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n
